After a year and a half of virtual events, it was a joy to host our most anticipated annual event, Pathway Homes’ Steps to Pathways Breakfast, in person!

On the morning of October 27th, 2021, we gathered at the Chantilly National Golf Club for a delicious breakfast while engaging current and potential partners, and general supporters in a discussion about how Pathway Homes benefits individuals in need and the community at large. Those unable to attend joined us virtually through Zoom, making this Pathway Homes’ first hybrid event.

With approximately 200 guests in attendance, Pathway Homes raised over $150,000 toward our mission to end homelessness!

Pathway Homes’ President & CEO, Dr. Sylisa Lambert-Woodard, kicked off the event by welcoming everyone in attendance. She added that the goal to end homelessness can be achieved most successfully when the issue is addressed by a community, rather than by any one individual.

Along with spotlighting the individuals that Pathway Homes serves throughout the year, this annual event honors stakeholders who put in a significant effort towards helping us meet our mission.  As Dr. Lambert-Woodard stated, “Helping our neighbors in need takes a collective effort, and these honorees made significant contributions in ensuring more people in our community can achieve fuller lives and contribute to the richness of our region.”

Below are award recipients from the 2021 event:

Nina Janopaul, most recently the CEO of Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing, with the inaugural Joyce Flynn Award.  Ms. Janopaul is pictured with Ms. Angie Garcia-Lathrop, Pathway Homes Board member.

Carol Colza and Jay Krafft on behalf of long-time supporter and sponsor, Krafft Services, with The Corporate Citizen Award.  Also pictured are Jennifer McGarey, Vice Chair of the Pathway Homes Board of Directors, and Dr. Sylisa Lambert-Woodard, Pathway Homes President and CEO.

Senator Tim Kaine with The Spirit of Hope Award.

Although Senator Kaine was unable to attend the breakfast, he submitted a video of him accepting the award, which was shared at the event.  In his acceptance speech, he encouraged the continued effort to end homelessness.

Thank you to all those who attended in-person & virtually!

Special thank you to our sponsors
